At Roseville Dental and Implants, we typically use porcelain for inlays and onlays because it provides excellent durability, longevity and natural-looking aesthetics. While zirconia is also a strong material, we generally prefer porcelain inlays and onlays for our Roseville patients because it is kinder to the opposing teeth and is less likely to contribute to wear over time.
